So I was doing my semi-weekly visit at the Basement BBS and tried
to logoff. Something strange happened.
So I hit the <return> key a couple of times and got this:
I think it wasn't wanting to let me go... 😁
I ended the call at that point...

That’s a known issue. It happens once in awhile due to how the BBS supports message networking on Altirra. Just hang up when this happens and the BBS will reset itself (and the disconnect will work for the next caller).

I have seen that one too although not recently...
All good at the basement! We are all clear to resume your regularly scheduled Basement BBSing!!
