Ubuntu 22.04 and SyncTerm 1.2b - no backspace on Atari BBSs
Hey everyone, I decided to have some fun so I installed Ubuntu 22.04 and managed to get SyncTerm installed (it installed 1.2b version). Everything is working great, except when I connect to 8bit boards using ATASCII, my Backspace key doesn't do anything when I'm writing messages. If I connect using ASCII or connect to an ST board using ANSI, backspace key works fine. For some reason when I'm logged on using ATASCII, the Backspace key doesn't do anything when writing messages. Is this common and there is a work-around that I don't know about?
Thanks,
Jason

No problem. Dredged that up from memory. Eons ago, when I first got into Linux there was a terminal I was using that wouldn't backspace no matter what. Someone, somewhere, in one of the 'Nix forums told me to use that key combo and it worked then.
Glad to know it's still valid. š
