Do you have a part number for this adapter?

I am curious... what backup program are you using? I use acronis and never have to shut down my BBS for the backup. Maybe the diff is BBS Xpress Pro... maybe something different between the Forem data files and the Pro ones? I am just guessing here. Oh.. do you have the problem with Alcatraz? I am guessing not...

From the questions asked at the Zoom meeting yesterday (3.3.24), yes I got my 2722 from: Office Depot/Office Max. I don't remember if it was on sale or not but it was brand new. It works great with my 8-bits using the RetroTink. While it is not my daily driver, it will be when the C=1702 bites the dust.

Two good selections. I especially like the white one which provides 5.2 volts. I have all of my Meanwells set to 5.2 volts.

As long as you don't select a USB charger with a low capacity (ampacity). The 2.1 amp chargers are great for this, but I have seen some 1a USB chargers out there... I have a few here. A 1 amp charger would be borderline in my book and I would not use one myself because as the current in the XL/XE approaches the ampacity, a power supply can start to break down or misbehave, especially a cheap one. There could be smaller ones (< 1amp) that you definitely don't want to use as they could become a fire hazard. (if you notice the little charger getting hot, unplug it.) All of my XLs are modified and I use a Meanwell 3amp power supply on all of them just to be on the safe side. Before someone says "but all mine are 5vDC, what's the issue?" All of the power supplies we are talking about here are 5vdc. The current (amps) is the issue.... not the voltage. The load (XL/XE) attached to the PS determines the current. The 5vDC is basically a fixed term in the calculation. A stock XL/XE might be fine on a 1 amp power supply. A modified one might cause the power supply to overheat and break down. EDIT: I just looked at the little charger that came with my iPhone and it is a 1 amp charger.

And... this evening, I found a goldmine of my old PC BBS backups dating back to when I ran the Boot Factory in Fidonet in the late 80's and early 90's. Several different versions of my Service batch file were in that bunch of floppies along with a ton of other stuff including full backups (minus downloads and msg bases) of some of my Boot Factory systems from that era. I know... not Atari-related so I'll shut up.

When I tried to connect in ATASCII, it asked for my key and would not go beyond there... I&#39;ll try again. So I did... and it does not want the key, it wants the key. (I know on the A8 it is actually called the key)
