WebDav support is so awesome on the Fujinet. It doesnt matter what is running on the computer. As long as it is powered on you can copy atr files to the sd card from FTP program like CyberDuck on the mac. Best feature to date in my opinion!

We were talking about those little 1/6 scale arcade games on the bbs a while back. I picked up one of these "Build-A-Cades" a few months ago for $50.00 and just finally built it the other day. This one is a kit you put together and it takes a raspberry pi and runs the RetroPie game emulator system. It can emulate pretty much everything Arcade / MAME, NES, SNES, SEGA, Atari 800, Colecovision, Playstation etc etc.. What is also cool is another guy (Zsabo Arcade) makes overlays to convert the cabinets to all kinds of dedicated cabs.. I got the Donley Kong one and it came out really nice. I need to talk to these guys about manufacturing. It is very similar to the laptop... Injection molded plastic, custom wire harness boards etc... I think an XE Book kit would be awesome. links: Build-a-cade ($50.00 if you enter coupon TMG50) - https://thunderstickstudio.com/products/grs-build-a-cade?gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAAC9ZMUlWJtjNsNT2zGmrZHmmdEa5T&gclid=Cj0KCQiA_9u5BhCUARIsABbMSPuzndyRiCTc86FZD9SA8A2Lt79sechfJr7P-ZKXwU8moeUYwsRmt_MaAhqkEALw_wcB Art kits: https://www.szabosarcades.com/collections/grs-build-a-cade-1

Y’allz seen this recent demo? Amazes me how these guys pack 18 minutes of pixels, music, I/o tricks and crazy math all coded in assembly under 300k. These guys are like the best coders in the world and hardly anyone knows they exist (some of the c64 ones are also amazing)! Hey allll, FInally gaining some momentum with the "XE Book" project. Took a whilel to get the video situation sorted out. I am using a 12" 4:3 aspect ratio (no wide screen) 800x600 flat panel display along with the LumaCode+RGB2HDMI Pi mod and the picture looks great. This is that Aabic PAL board I found on eBay and made a USA ASCII ROm for it so only the keycaps will have the funky Arabic symbols :) I found some pretty decent speakers and a cool little amp with volume up/down buttons so I dont have to have an alalog pot sticking out tof the enclosure. The only thing I don't like about it is on a power cycle the volume goes back to its default but that should only be a minor annoyance. I am now debating wether or not to embed the fujinet inside or just have it plug into the SIO on the back. My initial plan was to embed it and have some softkey buttons and OLED display to be able to toggle it on and off but maybe thats overkill... Next thing to tackle is th epower management wich will be either one or two lipos, a charging circuit etc, Thinking about making it so the original DIN power jack remains as an external power source as well as the cherging input to keep it old skool. If I leave the Fujinet as an external then I will probably put a USB out on the back so you can plug it directly into the laptop. Heres some photos and a video: Video: http://sideburn.com/vid/xebook1.mov

Here’s another rare one that cropped up on Fleeeebay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/296096590841?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=qLSlMc1tQm6&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=vQ425jH5TBq&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY The Halcyon. This was Rick Dyer’s (Dragons Lair, Space Ace) next project funded by the success of his Laser Disc arcade games. It was a home unit that had speech recognition and could control appliances I in the house, play games etc. the overpriced Alexa of the 80’s. it bombed almost as soon as it was released so there’s hardly any out there. https://youtu.be/_4HyBLgmRlw?si=tEfzABuFcqqsnqzW Watch it choke on Computer Chronicles 😂 https://m.youtube.com/watch?si=NmLVW-IkDvy9PDWx&t=14m30s&v=0_q1N3Ww0P8&feature=youtu.be
